There are many reasons to choose reusable nappies. Here are just some.
BENEFITS OF CLOTH NAPPIES
Families who choose cloth nappies and reusable wipes save $1000 - $1500 during a child's first 3 years.
Using cloth nappies reduces landfill by 20 x 240 L garbage bins over a child's time in nappies.
GENTLE ON BABY
Made from soft, breathable fabrics, cloth nappies are a gentle option for your child's first years.
I love the Seedling nappies I have. They make a great nighttime nappy for my 4 month old daughter. We haven’t had any leaks and we just love how absorbent the boosters are.
Seedling Baby nappies are the bomb! I won't use anything else now. After using at least 6 other brands of modern cloth nappies on all of my 6 children, these are the ones I always come back to, for any age, from birth to potty.
Very impressed with the Paddle Pants. My daughter has worn it now for over 6 months. It is so fantastic that the nappy can be adjusted to fit her quickly growing body. The quality is fantastic and looks just as good now as it did brand new.
Mr 23 months is just off to the pool to show off his Paddle Pants again. Love, love, love them!
These Diversifolds are by far my favourite prefold. They’re incredibly absorbent and the fit can be tailored to fit your babe's exact needs. They also hold their shape really well through washing and drying which is a huge plus for me.
I used the swim nappy (Paddle Pants) for the first time yesterday. My boy’s allergies have been playing up big time, so nappies have been a shocker, to the point I almost considered disposables! I had no idea he had a major poo until I took the swim nappy off. It wasn’t even on the gussets!
Lovely packaging, nice fabric feel, good sizing as a one size fits most nappy. I love the design, especially the double gussets. So far, I’ve had the nappy on my son for 6 hours and it was fantastic. Love the nappy! Really like the material used. Love the laundering tabs; extremely hard to get off, which is good.
We have quite a large mixed stash and these are by far my favourite. I can not fault them. I have never had a leak from our Seedlings and they’ve been fantastic for us. I love these as a night nappy because all of our others need to be changed at least once through the night, waking my daughter. It’s super easy to get a beautiful fit through all stages of nappying. I hope to one day have our stash 100% Seedling Baby!
Cloth nappy care 101
Here are 5 easy steps to simple and effective cloth nappy care:
Where possible, flush solids down the toilet.
After rinsing excess urine from the nappy, store in a wet bag or bucket for up to 2 days.
Put your nappies through a warm pre-wash (rinse cycle) in the machine.
After the pre-wash (rinse cycle) has finished, your nappies should remain in the machine and be put through a normal/long wash cycle up to 60°C.
For best results, nappies should be line dried, but some nappies can be tumble dried at a temperature not exceeding the manufacturer’s recommendations.
